The Detonator V4 6.0 is a creation of a bike designer named Daniel Simon. The engine that powers the Detonator lives up to the name of the bike. The engine has four cylinders displacing a total of 6.0 liters, similar to the size of the engines found is certain Supercars and Hypercars. The bike looks like it comes from the pages of a science fiction comic plotted around the year 2050. It can be at best described as a sculpture, or a machine. It breaks every known, conventional belief on how a motor cycle should look like.
Designed by Canadian company Bombardier, the bike has just a single wheel to support itself. It uses a gyroscope which senses the direction in which the rider leans and moves accordingly. The bike is powered by an electric motor that gets energy from a fuel cell. Inside a Fuel cell, Hydrogen and oxygen chemically react to produce electricity. The only emission from this vehicle is pure water.
There is a number of stunning design cue in the bike, including the spoke-less wheels that seem to be floating. It is intriguing to note the lack of foot pegs, suggesting that the rider is not going to be in an upright-riding position.
The Magrela Two is repulsorlift racing vehicle piloted by specialized individuals. Special engines for these craft traditionally came in one of two varieties of mechanical action: internal combustion engine types or rocket motor types (engines using moving mechanical parts and rocket motors using no moving mechanical parts). At a distance, one could differentiate engines from motors by noting if there are rotating fan/turbines at the front of the craft (engines having large rotating fans, motors lacking them). Energy binders projected from each engine connected both turbines together, forming a loose triangular configuration with the pod itself, dragged behind the engines, at the highest point. A driver could commonly achieve speeds in excess of eight hundred kilometers per hour on a good day.
The Matteo is a lightspeed motorcycle that could go up to speeds of 175. Only specialized individuals may drive this vehicle that is powered by electricity. Helmet required.
Péter Iglói-Nagy has conceptualized an eco-friendly truck for these hard to reach areas that maximize the use of natural resources readily available in deserts.
The Reggie is a ground vehicle that can be driven up to 250 MPH. It is a solar powered hybrid designed by the Chase Motor Company of America.
Designed by Daimler Chrysler, the bike looks more like a sculpture made of chrome and brushed aluminum on wheels than anything else. But mind you, with a massive 8.3 liter V10 engine to move it around, this should comfortably be the fastest bike with an Internal Combustion Engine. The bike produces in excess of 500 horsepower, enough to take-off to 400 miles per hour. However, the mechanical components and tires will certainly limit the bikes capabilities. Although it is a motorbike, technically speaking, its got four wheels and a big bore V10, classic ingredients of a sports car.
The Towe truck by designer Andrew Chirkova is an advanced vehicle concept that generating power from a jet engine seems to take urban transportation to new heights. Featuring a heavy-duty engine resulting in a low center of gravity, the futuristic truck gives an altogether new dimension to towing vehicles, such as an airport tractor or a trailer tractor. Measuring 10000 x 5000 x 1500 mm (LWH), the new truck accommodates the driver in a hi-tech cabin for better controls, together with three members of the maintenance crew, with ease. Though we don’t have much technical specs of the vehicle, still you may enjoy the images after the jump.
The Warpod features enough power and ammunition to make sure the super hero escapes the bad guys. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine. The reason for the phenomenal acceleration is the low gearing. The other noticeable features about this bike are the fat wheels and the lack of an exhaust pipe.
